About The Role

The Project Manager will oversee the progression of capital works projects through the Project Commencement Instruction (PCI) stage of an Uisce Eireann Wastewater ECI framework in accordance with budgetary, programme and design requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile budget submissions to undertake all agreed deliverables within the PCI stage of projects.
  • Act as the main point of contact for dealing with any issues relating to your project portfolio.
  • Be responsible for managing the performance of all agreed deliverables.
  • Undertake and manage the delivery of site investigations necessary for design development.
  • Supervise the work of project staff, sub-contractors etc. and give them guidance when needed,
  • Provide input into optioneering, design development and constructability of projects.
  • Manage the development of project risk registers, construction programmes and Target Costs.
  • Plan, manage and deliver projects in a performance and fashion that epitomizes the company’s vision, strategy and values,
  • Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks throughout their project,
  • Work collaboratively with the clients and their representatives (employee representatives, technical assurance, operations) including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress and early warnings.
  • Manage, monitor and interpret the contract documents supplied by our client and their representatives,
  • Monitor and report to ECI Lead on project particulars, including Progress, Programme, Finance, HSQE, Risks & Opportunities, all in a timely manner,
  • Develop Client Progress Reports, Accounts, budgets etc. in a timely manner,
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to promote new business,
  •  Other duties as required. 

About You

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

·  A degree in Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience demonstrating competency in the role.

·  A minimum of 5 years' relevant project management experience.

·  Experience managing infrastructure, civil engineering, water/wastewater or similar capital projects.

·  Membership of a relevant professional institution.

·  Chartered Engineer/Professional status, or actively working towards chartership.

·  Experience in project financial management, budgeting and cost control.

·  Experience managing project programmes, risks, opportunities and commercial deliverables.

·  Strong knowledge of project and contract management principles.

·  Experience working with clients and multiple project stakeholders.

·  Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

·  A full, clean driving licence.

·  Full authorisation to work in Ireland.
