Role Summary:
The Senior Document Controller (Senior DC) is responsible for leading the production, coordination, monitoring, and management of all project documentation within the company’s Common Data Environment (CDE), primarily using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
This role ensures that all project information is controlled, traceable, and compliant with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), company standards, and client requirements. The Senior DC will manage metadata and revision statuses, support quality assurance and handover activities, and ensure all Pre Construction Information (PCI) is correctly uploaded and maintained within the CDE. They will also play a key role in supporting internal and external stakeholders through training and continuous improvement of document control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain all document control activities within ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) in line with the BEP, project requirements, and company standards.
- Establish and maintain consistent document naming conventions, metadata fields, and revision control procedures across the project.
- Check and verify all incoming documentation from external consultants and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project standards, quality expectations, and file structure before acceptance into the CDE.
- Ensure all Pre Construction Information (PCI) from the client is accurately uploaded and accessible within the CDE in accordance with project requirements.
- Support and coordinate quality audits by ensuring the document management system remains compliant, traceable, and up to date.
- Deliver training and guidance to internal project teams and external stakeholders on the use of the CDE, document control procedures, and information management best practices.
- Conduct regular CDE audits to identify inconsistencies or non-compliances, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Track and report document status, approvals, and revisions to ensure alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
- Support project handover by compiling accurate, validated, and complete documentation packages in line with client expectations and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with design, construction, and client teams to ensure information flow is seamless, controlled, and transparent.
