About The Role

Coffey are seeking qualified candidates for the role of HSQE Manager to lead and support a team across the delivery of projects in Ireland. The role will be supported by the HSQE Director.

Job Specification/Role Responsibilities:

The role will require the successful candidate to:

  • Lead the HSQE team and support our project delivery teams in delivering projects and continually improving our Business Management Systems.
  • Provide professional support and advice to site management teams and staff on HSQE matters, including legislative and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate all relevant HSQE documentation required, from project start up to project completion.
  • Consult with the project delivery teams and others to identify significant areas of risk, develop and document measures to control and reduce risks to an acceptable level.
  • Assist the site management teams in reviewing relevant documentation (direct and subcontractor) prior to commencement on site and as the works progress.
  • Review and coordinate consultation sessions.
  • Coordinate and carry out site inspections with site teams, identify initiatives to improve performance and assist in addressing opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate learning reviews, produce relevant reports, advise and implement applicable recommendations.
  • Assist and collaborate with the clients' representatives, other stakeholders and relevant external bodies (e.g. enforcing agencies) and contribute to client and external site inspections and audits.
  • Lead monthly review sessions with the client to review progress and areas for continual improvement.
  • Produce periodic HSQE reports as required and submit to relevant stakeholders.

About You

Essential

  • Experience in a similar management role in HSQE in civil construction.
  • 3rd level qualification in Health and Safety.
  • Experience with relevant HSQE standards and management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. High standard of written English is essential.
  • Computer literate.
  • Full clean EU/Irish driving licence.
  • Authorised to work in Ireland i.e. stamp 4 or critical skills permit.

Desirable

  • Chartered Member of IOSH/alternative professional institute.
  • Health & Safety training in relevant industry areas.
  • Qualification in Environmental and Quality Management.
