Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our team in Cork for an a large design and build project involving complex civil engineering and construction. The project encompasses extensive earthworks, intricate reinforced concrete (RC) structures, and a large-scale steel portal frame building with associated cladding. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented civil engineer to be instrumental in delivering a technically challenging project, ensuring high engineering standards, efficient project workflows, and robust logistical coordination.
Project Scope:
- Earthworks: Approx. 30,000 cubic meters of detailed excavation, road preparation, and grading.
- Concrete Works: Approx. 10,000 cubic meters of in-situ RC for foundations, retaining walls, and RC frames.
- Steel Structures: Large-scale steel portal frame construction, including complex cladding systems, roller doors, and custom structural details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Management: Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet key milestones and deadlines, working closely with project management.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical supervision of all engineering activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and high standards for earthworks, RC structures, and steel frame erection.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control procedures across all aspects of the project to meet design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Site Supervision & Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections, monitor construction progress, verify measurements, and ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols on-site, promoting a culture of proactive risk management.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, technical assessments, and project forecasts.
