We are seeking an experienced and driven MEICA Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across a diverse portfolio of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) works.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the safe, efficient and commercial delivery of projects from commencement through to completion. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical and commercial expertise with proven leadership skills, a proactive approach to project delivery and a commitment to developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
- Plan, manage and coordinate all construction activities to ensure programme, budget and quality objectives are achieved.
- Determine resource requirements including labour, plant, equipment, subcontractors and materials throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure all contractual obligations and project requirements are met throughout delivery.
- Provide regular project updates to senior management on programme, financial performance, risks and opportunities.
Commercial & Contract Management
- Manage contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Develop project budgets, cost forecasts and resource plans.
- Monitor project performance against commercial and financial targets.
- Oversee procurement activities and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers and subcontractors where required.
- Ensure project variations, scope changes and notifications are managed appropriately.
- Support project profitability through effective planning, risk management and commercial control.
Site Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and specialist MEICA personnel.
- Supervise construction activities and provide guidance and support to project teams.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, local authorities and key stakeholders.
- Represent Coffey at project meetings and ensure clear communication across all parties.
- Obtain required permits, licences and approvals to facilitate project delivery.
- Promote business development opportunities through strong client relationships.
Team Development & Resource Management
- Manage, mentor and develop engineers, supervisors and junior technical staff.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify training requirements and coordinate development initiatives with the HSQE department.
- Foster professional growth within project teams and support succession planning objectives.
Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Compliance
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance across all project activities.
- Ensure compliance with Coffey HSQE management systems, policies and procedures.
- Ensure the Safety Statement is implemented and maintained across project sites.
- Support risk management activities and the implementation of safe systems of work.
- Monitor project quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure projects comply with all statutory, legal and environmental obligations.
