About The Role

Commercial Manager

Locations: Athenry, Co. Galway, Maynooth, Co. Kildare or Rathcormac, Co. Cork (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home) Regular site visits will be required

As a Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial and contractual management of multiple projects, working closely with Operations Directors, Regional Directors and project teams to ensure contracts are delivered successfully, commercially and in line with company procedures. The Commercial Manager will build strong client relationships, identify commercial opportunities and help drive business performance across the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of projects from award through to final account.
  • Prepare, negotiate and agree interim valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs, cash flow and commercial performance, providing accurate financial reporting and forecasts.
  • Review contract documentation, identify commercial risks and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Manage supplier agreements and subcontractor accounts in collaboration with Procurement.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
  • Support Regional Directors and project teams on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Lead, coach and support team members to deliver high performance.
  • Prepare and manage contractual claims where required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes and best practice.

About You

About you

To be successful as our Commercial Manager, you will have:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution is desirable.
  • At least 10 years' commercial experience within the construction industry.
  • Experience working on Public Sector contracts.
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • A full clean Irish or EU driving licence.
  • The legal right to work in Ireland.
