The Senior Group Payroll Specialist will manage the payroll function with end-to-end payroll operations for multiple entities across Ireland & UK. Operating within the finance team, this role requires a strong understanding of Irish & UK payroll legislation, excellent stakeholder management, and a continuous improvement mindset. This role has potential to evolve into a Group Payroll Manager role in the future.

Hybrid / Athenry Co Galway / Maynooth Co Kildare, On-site days required: 3 per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end weekly and monthly payrolls for multiple corporate entities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of calculations. Complete associated reporting for each payroll period including hours analysis preparation.
- Compliance & Statutory Requirements: Manage all Payroll Taxes including Benefit in Kind elements, reporting through Revenue’s Online Service (ROS) & HMRC.Submission of Pension contributions for multiple entities in both jurisdictions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance & Other Departments to streamline data collection.
- Reporting & Reconciliation: Responsible for payroll & related tax journals on the finance ERP system, month-end reconciliations of payroll and related nominal accounts, and preparation of CSO & National Statistics returns.
- Process Improvements: Drive & Implement payroll process improvements in alignment with HR and Finance teams. Assist with possible new timesheet system implementation.
- Advisory: Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll & related tax queries.
- Expenses: Manage staff expenses, ensuring compliance with company policy and Revenue / HMRC rules.
- Auditing: Fulfil payroll aspect of annual external statutory audit & any other related external audits.Conduct Internal BIK audits regularly throughout the year.
- Other: End of year Processing for payroll and software updates.
